Remember when TBS played A Christmas Story 24 hours starting on Christmas Eve?
If you're of the era of this Christmas classic movie, then you will love to know that you can actually stay at the house they filmed it in! Though the entire movie was not filmed here, there are tons of scenes that were and was refurbished to the set's origination.
In the early 2000's the house was put up for sale via eBay and in 2017 the house was put on the market for overnight stays. A Christmas story has a cult following and of course there's tons of history here along with a museum and gift shop.
You can tour the house daily but the best way to get your itch scratched is by staying overnight, where you'll have full access to the whole house starting after 5 pm. It's highly recommended to take the tour which is included with an overnight stay at the main house. Try to take the tour prior to your stay so you have more information to reflect on as your soak in your favorite scenes from this classic.
You can also stay Nextdoor in the Bumpus House, unfortunately no scenes were filmed here and you won't get a free tour but it is cheaper and you can still pay for the tour pre or post stay.
