Sedona Favorites

Sedona Favorites

We stayed in Sedona countless times; its practically our second home, we might as well buy land here!

If you're looking for places to hunker down for a few nights in this amazing town and want great views when you wake in the morning, then look no further--we got you! Two places stand out amongst them all and neither of them are cheap, because Sedona is not cheap (unfortunately)!

Favorite 1: Enchantment Resort

Tucked away from all the noise and plethora of tourists is Mii Amo which also houses Sedona's BEST spa experience and arguably Arizona's best (IMO). Nestled in Boynton Canyon, you'll wake to the most gorgeous surroundings of red rocks. If you're lucky you'll be blanketed with a layer of fog on a rainy day that lifts and falls revealing the canyon walls throughout the day.

On a clear day you couldn't ask for a more beautiful view. Hiking trails surround the property for a variety of hikers (beginner-expert). Be sure to pack a day pack as you can spend hours on the trail and always pack sunscreen!

Rooms are luxurious here along with options to stay in spa suites. Most rooms have a fireplaces and some suites provide a pool option. Recommended to stay in a Casita Studio at minimum or in a spa suite.

You can also enjoy the main resort pool, onsite restaurant options and most notably the nighttime skies; uninterrupted by light pollution and complete silence. If you want to see the Milky Way, this is your destination and just outside your hotel door.

Spa Experiences

Mii Amo offer the usual spa experiences for massages and facials down to lymphatic drainage and wraps but what makes them the most unique is their additional spa offerings that include things like Chakra Balancing, hypnosis, aura readings and so much more. You can even indulge in meditation and integrative breathing or yoga and pilates. Whatever it is you can imagine to get you back on track, balanced and feeling better internally and externally, there is something for you at this spa!

I broadened my horizons with a service called Aura Soma here years ago, though they no longer offer this service, I can tell you that it changed my life! There is something very special about this place and Sedona in general but do not skip the Mii Amo spa!

Favorite 2: Sky Rock Sedona

If finding Airport Vortex is in your cards on a visit to Sedona, then staying nearby may be a great idea! At the peak of 89A just across the airport is Sky Rock Sedona, a quiet and beautiful hotel just recently added the Marriott's Bonvoy Collection.

Here you'll find yourself surrounded by the vista views of Sedona's famed red rocks, you'll also enjoy nightly views of stars, morning yoga sessions and often evening cocktail hours.

Sky Rock has recently been renovated as of late 2023-early 2024 and now offers breakfast/dinner options and brand new bar called WooWoo. While here you'll enjoy amenities like yoga and meditation sessions (when available), morning music at breakfast from local artists, crystal sessions, sky watching, and more plus a whirlpool and pool to lounge in.

Pets are also welcome at this location, so bring your favorite companion and enjoy hiking, biking or any other adventure you can dream of while sleeping like a baby in this cozy yet modern accommodation.

Amenities/Attractions:

While there are not any spa treatments available, the front desk will be more than happy to find you a near by spa, tour or restaurant during your stay.

Sky rock is near by some of Sedona's best attractions like Devil's Bridge Trail, Oak Creek Canyon and Slide Rock State Park and of course across the street from the Sedona Airport where you can take a helicopter ride around Sedona or even to the Grand Canyon or Hike to Airport Vortex.

If you're planning for a stay in this amazing place anytime soon, consider staying at these two beautiful hotels. You'll have access to so many nearby trails and experiences that will make your trip magical and memorable.
